The G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUA&T), Pantnagar has invited applications from eligible students for an internship visit to France under the DEFIAA Programme. The programme is supported by a consortium of agricultural institutions and backed by the French Ministry of Agriculture, offering valuable international exposure to Indian agriculture students .
Under this initiative, 20 university students will be selected to visit French institutions as interns for four weeks, from 8 March to 3 April 2026, as approved by the Vice Chancellor.
DEFIAA Programme GBPUA&T Students to Get Internship Opportunity in France IN 2024-25
📌 Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Only students who have completed their coursework by the end of the 1st semester of 2025–26 are eligible to apply. Students currently on AP/CP or those who have already visited France under the DEFIAA program will not be considered.
Selection will be based on academic performance:
- UG students: III-year CGPA
- PG students: 50% UG OGPA + 50% CGPA of 1st year PG
- PhD students: 50% PG OGPA + 50% CGPA of PhD
An interaction/interview will be conducted in the third week of January 2026, carrying 25% weightage in the final selection.
✈️ Financial Support
Students will bear travel and visa expenses, while boarding, lodging, and local transport in France will be covered by the host French institution, making it a highly beneficial academic exchange opportunity .

Interested students must submit their applications to the Director, International Affairs, on or before 10 January 2026.
