2026 TaiwanICDF Scholarship Applications Open, Offering Wide Range of Academic Programs

Taipei: The International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) has officially announced that applications for the 2026 TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program will be open from December 1, 2025 to March 15, 2026, inviting outstanding students from partner countries to pursue higher education in Taiwan.

The TaiwanICDF scholarship provides full financial support for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degree programs at leading Taiwanese universities. The program aims to cultivate highly skilled professionals who can contribute to the socio-economic development of their home countries, while simultaneously strengthening academic cooperation and people-to-people ties.

For the 2026 academic year, the scholarship covers a diverse portfolio of programs across multiple disciplines. At the doctoral level, opportunities are available in fields such as Tropical Agriculture at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, International Health at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and Global Health and Health Security at Taipei Medical University.

A wide array of Master’s programs is also on offer, spanning Agriculture, Aquaculture, Business and Management, Public Health and Medicine, Engineering and Science, Education, Social Sciences, Arts, and Urban Governance. Participating institutions include National Chung Hsing University, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Chengchi University, National Tsing Hua University, National Cheng Kung University, National Central University, National Dong Hwa University, National Chung Cheng University, Taipei Medical University, Ming Chuan University, and others. Notably, select programs focus on emerging and priority areas such as remote sensing, artificial intelligence, electric power engineering, natural hazards mitigation, health care administration, and international human resource development.

In addition, Bachelor’s degree programs in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Advanced Technology are available at universities including National Tsing Hua University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Dong Hwa University, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. These undergraduate programs are open exclusively to applicants from countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

According to TaiwanICDF, applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the official guidebook and individual university requirements before applying. The scholarship initiative not only supports human resource development in partner countries but also promotes the internationalization of Taiwan’s higher education system and enriches cross-cultural learning on campuses.

Through its International Higher Education Scholarship Program, TaiwanICDF continues to position education as a cornerstone of international cooperation, fostering long-term partnerships and shared global development.
